It's a deep subject for such a shallow mind.

That meal was plum laripin.
That cake was so good it makes you want to slap grandma.
You are as welcome as a hair in a buiscut.
We had a stump floatin, frog stanglin rain last night.

Goodnight Nurse!
Well, I'll be a ring-tailed monkey's uncle!

Purpose

As we get older, we find ourselves quoting old sayings we heard our parents and grandparents use. When we heard them as we were growing up, we were usually annoyed or embarrassed and swore we would never use them! However, as the years pass, to our amazement, we find that occasionally these outdated expressions slip out. When they do, we are actually delighted to realize that in the words we use we retain a connection to our loved ones. The Armstrong Clan wants to preserve these sayings to prevent them from disappearing into oblivion. The children of Jack, Jim, and Lou will post sayings that they rememember hearing so that their own children and future generations will have a record of them. Maybe they will even find themselves unexpectedly using a few one day!
